RENO DIAGNOSTIC CENTERS Gives 93 Free Mammograms
RENO, Nev. (June 14, 2016) – Reno Diagnostic Centers (RDC) hosted Free Mammo Mondays during the month of May with great success. RDC was able to provide 93 women with free screening mammograms through the event.
In past years, RDC offered free mammograms for women without medical insurance for one day only. This concept worked well, but it provided fewer opportunities for women to get screened. This year, RDC expanded the event by offering four dates for women to schedule a free screening mammogram. With the added dates over the course of the month of May, more women were able to be screened. The event was so successful, extra slots were added and the event was still fully booked.
“We are very fortunate to provide this service to the un-insured women in our community and further demonstrate our commitment to promoting the importance of early breast cancer detection. This event was very successful and also presented potential future opportunities to screen this population of patients in upcoming years.” – Terri Mahannah, Executive Director of Reno Diagnostic Centers
RDC will be offering discounted screening mammograms for women without medical insurance in October in connection with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
