PET Fusion

RDC offers Northern Nevada's Only PET Fusion.

If you've previously had a CT, or MRI exam done at ANY area imaging center, our new PET Fusion software allows us to fuse those images with our PET exam for greater disease detection. This state-of-the-art technology eliminates the need to repeat a prior study (if the CT or MRI has been performed within the last three months) because it fuses CT or MRI images together with PET images via software, not additional radiation. This also helps eliminate the cost of repeat exams.

Benefits of PET Fusion Software:

  • Ability to Fuse with CT or MRI for Greater Disease Detection.
  • Fuse Images from PRIOR or FUTURE CT or MRI Scans.
No need to redo prior sans if performed within the last three months.

  • If a new CT is needed, ONE stick with our new 64-Slice CT.
  • Better PET Spatial Resolution.
  • Less Radiation than a CT/PET.

Case Study:
30 Year Old Mail with Melanoma. Right Neck Nodule on CT performed 4/24/06. PET performed 4/26/06 for Staging Evaluation. PET Fusion performed 4/26/06 demonstrates intense activity of Right Cervical Lymph Node.
