About Us
In December of 1985, Reno Diagnostic Centers began operation. This date was significant because, by opening our doors, we also opened the doors to a higher standard of medical imaging technology by introducing the first MRI scanner to Nevada. Since that time, there have been other firsts that we are extremely proud of. It is our ongoing mission to set the benchmark in medical imaging in the state of Nevada.
our physicians
Reno Diagnostic Centers are independently owned and operated. Two of the benefits of being independent are:
- We have more control over the care of patients.
- We are more involved in the care of patients.
For our professional radiological services, we contract with Advanced Radiology, Ltd. ARL and our staff of board-certified radiologists and highly-trained technologists enable us to provide you with medical imaging experience and expertise. As an added benefit, our staff radiologists also specialize in neuroradiology, interventional radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine.

our mission
Healthcare Imaging Needs with Compassion
Reno Diagnostic Centers are technically advanced imaging centers.
We are northern Nevada’s benchmark for excellence in medical imaging.
Reno Diagnostic Centers’ staff is committed to professional and caring services
for our patients, referring physicians, and the community.
Our primary goal is to meet your healthcare imaging needs with compassion.
Accurate. Efficient. Quality Healthcare.
For more than 30 years we have been able to provide our patients and referring physicians with accurate, efficient and quality healthcare. Our team of board-certified, fellowship radiologists and compassionate, certified technologists understand the value of your time. We are committed to the fastest turnaround on reports and access to view patient files online for physician offices.
At other area imaging facilities, you may experience a delay in your appointment time due to the emergency room and inpatients – not at Reno Diagnostic Centers. Here, you come first with centralized, flexible scheduling. For your added convenience, all of our locations offer convenient, surface level parking for easy access in and out of our centers.
No one likes to wait.
At Reno Diagnostic Centers, we understand that, when it comes to waiting for your test results.
For your convenience, we offer the fastest turnaround on all our tests. That means your physician can either view images online or have the results sent to his/her office promptly following your exam time. Please understand your doctor’s office then requires additional time to interpret our results to then provide you with an appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan, if applicable. You can access your results through our patient portal.
The History of Reno Diagnostic Centers
In December of 1985, Reno Diagnostic Centers began operation. This date was significant because, by opening our doors, we also opened the doors to a higher standard of medical imaging technology by introducing the first MRI scanner to Nevada. Since that time, there have been other firsts that we are extremely proud of.
Being first is a wonderful thing. However, there is a great responsibility that goes along with being first. At Reno Diagnostic Centers, we don’t take that responsibility lightly. We won’t introduce a new imaging technology to the area without ensuring that the technology is sound and that it also provides a significant benefit to you.
It is our ongoing mission to set the benchmark in medical imaging in the state of Nevada.
That is the reason for our Quality Assurance Program. This cross-training program focuses on staff education. In medical imaging, education is paramount. Rest assured, our staff is highly trained and they are continually being updated on the latest procedures. However, our Quality Assurance Program takes this training a step further. Its focus is cross training. Radiologists train technologists. Technologists train clerical and scheduling personnel. Our entire staff educates referring office staffs about our procedures and support services.
For you, our patients, this means you will always receive the best technology and the best care available.

Certifications & Accreditations
Reno Diagnostic Centers are state of the art fully licensed Radiology Centers. Each facility is not only licensed by the State of Nevada, but is also nationally accredited.
What is Accreditation?
Accreditation programs ensure that equipment, technologists, and physicians are in compliance with appropriate performance standards for imaging procedures.
American College of Radiology (ACR) Accreditation
In addition to our licensure for various imaging services, the American College of Radiology (ACR) awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards through peer-review evaluation. Accreditation from ACR is a significant achievement for any facility to receive.
These evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. They assess the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of facility equipment. From this assessment, the ACR then bases their awards of accreditation.
In addition to our board-certified, fellowship radiologists, all of our registered technologists are also specialty trained and certified in their area of expertise.
